Artist talks

Guri Glans og Joakim Borgen

02/12/2020 - 12:00 - 12:40

A sofa, an armchair, half an hour, two performing artists. What are they talking about? At Showbox 2020, we launch our new video and podcast series; Artist talks. Two by two they meet with us in Kabelgata. We have put them together, some have met before, others meet for the first time, and what they both have in common is that they work with performing arts for a young audience.

Guri Glans is an actor and producer, who has worked actively with the young audience for 25 years. She has been a performer in Teater Joker for 15 years, toured at home and abroad with both Jo Strømgren company and Teater NIE, and teaches at several educational institutions. Guri loves the theater, and has performed on stages from Nuuk to Sydney, but has had some of her best moments on stage in a sweaty gymnasium.

Joakim Borgen is the founder and producer, now chairman of the board of the theater company Madam Pysj, which in a short time has become one of the most played companies in The Cultural Schoolbag. He has previously been a producer in NRK Radioteatret and also works daily as an operations manager in wholesale, but also has experience performing, both as an actor and musician. Joakim has written and directed both performances for the company which is now on tour, Star Wårs (with Å) and Harry Påtter (with Å).
