Mediation for a young audience

«What is mediation of theatre for children and youth, and how can it be done”

What do we really mean when we speak about mediation of theatre for young audiences? How does a performance relate to the audience’s knowledge of the institution of theatre and dance? How is the content of a performance mediated, and how is the encounter with theatre as a platform for communication contextualized? What does a young audience need when encountering a performance and enter into dialogue with it?

This online seminar wishes to open up the concept of mediation in performance practice. What can mediation of performance be and how can it be done? We want to shed light on these questions and discuss with professionals in the field, and we would like to have you, who participate in this year’s Showbox, to join the conversation. Subscribe to the digital seminar.

The seminar is arranged in collaboration with Oslo Metropolitan University, Institute of Aesthetics (EST) and Camilla Eeg-Tverbakk (Professor Drama – and Theatre Communication).

Participants are encouraged to join the conversation.
