When Pinocchio lies, his nose grows. Pinocchio lied to everyone, and most of all to himself. But why keep it real, when the real thing is just shit?

This is a story about growing up, and at the same time being in opposition to everything that adults stand for. Pinocchio takes the easy way out, wants to have the least possible responsibility, doesn’t think about the consequences. He fumbles in a world that tries to tame him.

In order to become a whole person, one must stop lying to oneself, it is said. But how can you be yourself 110 percent, when you have no idea who you really are? Then it is better to escape from everything.

A classic for young people
Pinocchio is the story of the wooden puppet who came to life, with a nose that grew when he lied. The history is based on a children’s book from 1883 by the Italian author Carlo Collodi. Originally there were many short stories with a moral message and educational effect for children. Many people know the animated film by Disney from 1940. In director Øyvind Osmo Eriksen’s version, Pinocchio is older, the world is scarier, the consequences are greater, and the height of the fall is enormous.

Pinocchio is a dark, grotesque and dangerous story about belonging, breaking free and finding oneself. The role of Pinocchio is played by Fabian Svegaard Tapia. The childless woodcutter Gepetto is played by Pål Christian Eggen.

The show is suitable for young people aged 12 and over.
