Meg, meg meg, og Th'Line

Artist talk: Theatre & Identity

01/12/2017 - 10:00 - 12:00

Conversation with Th’Line about how to use body and room to discuss identity on stage. What does identity mean for how we think about target groups, and is it not that the exploration of identity as a performance project can sometimes be perceived as a cliché? How can you work against clichés? We discuss the bodily of the dance and how the physical location can help thematize the body, being and identity.

We start each festival day with an artist talk; The seminars are led by Julie Rongved Amundsen, PhD. in theater science from UiO with the dissertation Performing Ideology. Theatricality and Ideology in Mass Performance on mass theater and ideology in North Korea and the United States. She is a theater critic and writer and is currently working on a book on ideology production in Norwegian historical games. www.julierongvedamundsen.wordpress.com

The talks are in Norwegian.
