Kulturtanken takes care of the national responsibility for the cultural school bag (DKS). The Kulturtanken is subordinate to the Ministry of Culture, which in its work with DKS collaborates with the Ministry of Education.
Kulturtanken manages the state funds for the DKS, and shall contribute to strengthening and developing the this in cooperation with county councils and municipalities.
They also contribute to the work with children’s and youth culture, and improve the opportunities for children and young people’s participation in cultural life.
